Cozy, Custom Made Flannel Pajamas are so comfortable I feel like wearing them all day even though I am a body conscious, tailored, skinny jeans, biking kind of girl. This is the second pair I made this month and was not surprised to find an article recently in the WSJ titled Fashion’s Latest Command: Wear Pajamas in the Daytime. Perfectly fitted, tailored pajamas would be very elegant in silk crepe for evening wear or beautiful Liberty or Japanese cottons for Summer. Color blocked & monogrammed linen would really make the cat’s pajama’s for me to lounge about home sewing, reading or binge watching on Roku.
Next pair I plan on experimenting with fabric, piping & pocket placement and will keep you posted on the process.
Keep Sewing and Create Your Own Unique Look!
I started this quilt in the Fall and the block piecing was a bit more complicated than my usual strip construction. The planets and stars have been resting and taking a break over the holidays while I was making Christmas apron gifts and baking. I hung this piece in my hallway where I park my bike “Moet”
Today I completed a 2 session class at Eddies Quilting Bee on machine basics which was a very worthwhile experience to get better acquainted with my new sewing machine. We learned how to clean & maintain our machine & tested many new feet and their applications. I met some new sewing friends and came home with this practical and attractive equipment bag.
Embroidered Ribbon Tab on Attachments Bag.
is a Christmas present to myself and a long needed replacement for my beloved Viking Designer 1 that just wore out after almost 10 years and we have been getting acquainted with some basic Home projects before I start a 2-part Berninia Machine Basics class tomorrow.
Simple Kitchen Apron & Pot Holder with Bias Trim
I made this pattern previously for Christmas Gifts, it takes 1 yard of main fabric and 1/2 yard for the bias trim.
Toasty Warm Flannel PJ’s
This colorful 100% cotton flannel was on markdown 70% off and pajamas made up easily from 5 yards of fabric. I always save a scrap of fabric with
a successful pattern along with notes on date made and construction notes on possible changes to make next time.
